ARTISTIC DIRECTOR Lawrence

A culmination of tenacity, creative flair and business acumen has led to Lawrence’s role as Precision’s Artistic Director. Having worked with some of the biggest names and brands in this industry, Lawrence’s ever-expanding salon clientele is a testimony to his skill. Dividing his time between Precision Hair Design and Precision Education Centre, it’s clear Lawrence loves his work and revels in his roles of Artistic and Education Director.

His passion and extremely professional approach to his craft has led him not only into his success at Precision, but also travelling across the UK educating and inspiring other stylists both in a class room format, and on stage. Outside Precision, Lawrence is also a proud educator for the number one in hair extensions - Racoon International.

A proven motivator and inspiring teacher, he likes to think of his salon work to be informative, professional, honest and most of all – fun!

What made you decide to join the industry?
It was by accident really! I started hairdressing as a Saturday job and ended up falling in love with it. Hair has been an obsession of mine ever since.

Making people feel amazing

Your funniest career moment?
Oh there’s loads! Being on stage and the microphone died- I made a joke of it and shouted the whole show

What’s the best career advice you have been given?
Focus on the person in your chair. Everything else will fall into place.

BUSINESS MANAGER Claire

With a background in both business and managerial success, Claire is an instrumental member of Precision. Looking after the role of Business Manager, Claire oversees the continuous development of both Precision Hair Design and Precision Education. Claire believes in using her expert knowledge of Precision to ensure that all team members deliver our prestigious 5 star experience, time after time.

A founding member of Precision’s Education Team, Claire says:

When you work as a hairdresser the most exciting part of the job is that you never stop learning! Trends and fashion move at such a fast pace. That is why we feel it so important to share the knowledge of our educators not only in house but others working in the industry

You’ll find Claire both on site at our salon and Education Centre as well as on stage, representing Precision.

SENIOR STYLIST Jonah Henley

Joining Precision in 2018 from another 5 star salon just outside Cardiff, it was Lawrence who originally taught Jonah how to apply her first set of highlights!

7 years later and Jonah has joined the team at Precision as Salon Director. With her passion burning brighter than ever for creative colour and styling, Jonah delights clients from all over Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan with her up-to-the-minute Balayage techniques.

With an ever growing following on social media, Jonah's work takes her regularly to London where she works on photographic shoots. She has enjoyed training under Hair Celebs such as ‘Sophia Hilton’ of ‘Not Another Salon’ and ‘Ben Brown’ of ‘Ben Brown Education’

A talented member of the education team, Jonah is a fantastic advocate for Precision and her drive and ambition has been a driving force in the development of Precision technique in our education system.

What made you decide to join the industry?
When I was younger I burnt my barbies hair with my mum's hair straighteners, I couldn't wait to get started as a hairdresser.

If you weren’t a hairdresser, what would you be?
A vet

How would your clients describe you?
Wild, Trustworthy, Colourful

What’s your favourite part of the job?
Creating magic, making sure my clients leave felling 10/10

Whilst doing a shoot in London I tripped on a shoe lace and fell my kit/ hair pins, everything went flying everywhere.

Once you fell you know it all it's time to walk away

Getting approached by a fashion designer and being asked to do the hair for her latest collection

STYLIST Chloe Jenkins

Joining the team in 2016 as an assistant, Chloe is a shining example of our Education centre having trained under Precision’s Education Team. Applying her ever growing knowledge on the salon floor is what drives Chloe.

Chloe's fascination for hair and makeup made her the perfect side kick to assist Precision’s Artistic Director Lawrence in the launch of Cardiff's Coyote Ugly bar on behalf of internationally renowned hair extension specialist Racoon International.

Chloe’s favourite part of her job is barbering and colour work. She describes herself in three words as confident, bubbly and sassy!

I adore my job’ says Chloe ‘I always love seeing and creating new looks alongside the most amazing and talented team in Cardiff!

Chloe has attended the prestigious British Hairdressing Awards sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional and Pro Hair Live in Manchester.

What made you decide to join the industry?
I started as a Saturday girl but I loved working in the industry, it feels like one big family!

A Disney Princess in Disney World Florida

How would your clients describe you?
Bubbly, confident, positive

Meeting new clients and seeing the transformations

STYLIST Alice Fudge

Having worked with Artistic Director, Lawrence over ten years ago on a Saturday, Alice left school and went on to study Events Management at University in Cardiff. After graduating Alice still felt as though she’d left some behind – and it was during a hair appointment with Lawrence one day that she suddenly decided she was going to persue her dream – and signed up to train as a hairstylist!

Alice has attended training courses with celebrity stylist Lee Stafford. In 2017 she celebrated coming first in a bridal hair competition at the renowned ‘Salon Cymru’.

Alice loves hair up and loves nothing better than a big bouncy blowdry! Organised, enthusiastic and driven by success Alice enjoys the constant progression within our industry and is constantly being inspired by her Precision Team.

There’s always something new going on at Precision. It’s impossible to get bored!’ says Alice.

What made you decide to join the industry?
I have been friends with Lawrence for a long time and loved the passion he had for his job, this inspired me.
